First Birds of Spring

The first full day of daylight savings time brought with it the ability to catch Daphne playing in enough light to turn out a decent picture.  She loves to play "I'm-gonna-dig-where-you-told-me-not-to" and run around in circles, each time taking a moment to pick up whatever it was you were telling her not to grab in her mouth.  Sometimes she gets something, others nothing but an empty chomp as she scampers away from me, making furtive gestures at her as if I'm about to grab her.

My wife and I always pass this store on our way to the Lauritzen Gardens and I always comment that I need to get some shots of this great mural work. Finally I stopped this past weekend on our way to check out the annual Orchid show.

One of our first visits to the Lauritzen Gardens was to their annual Orchid show. We attended our third one this past weekend. These are a few of the highlights.

Lauritzen Gardens 030213: Leggo Exhibit

Pam and I are regular members to the Lauritzen Gardens, and enjoy their different exhibits. This past weekend they featured a showing of Leggo sculptures.

I try to exercise our Labradoodle puppy, Daphne, on a fairly regular basis, but the winter months make it a little more difficult.  Playing fetch in the snow isn't optimum, but she loves it anyway.
